Any AV technician who wants to update his basic knowledge of video in the event sector and delve deeper into the practical and technical side of different video equipment.

Kristof Nys, freelance video technician with specialization in video systems and LED screens. 

Kristof has a technical background in electronics and experience with various video systems and combining them. He devised and configured various systems for festivals, conferences and TV shows.

 

CONTENTS

                

    Brief history of video in the event sector. 

    Signals and resolutions and their practical application and pitfalls.

    Explaining terms such as HDCP, codecs, colorspace, aspect ratio,...

    Use and application of various devices such as matrices, presentation switchers, projectors, LED screens, PTZ cameras and media servers.

    Do's & Don'ts when using video equipment.

    Viewing common network video protocols such as NDI, SRT and streaming to platforms.

 

As with other Betterlive workshops, theory is put into practice as much as possible throughout the day.

Video has become indispensable in the current event sector and theaters, but at the same time it has never been so complex due to the different signals, resolutions and equipment.

In this course we look at how we can clarify this and configure a video setup as efficiently as possible.
